B.S. In Neuroscience, Pursuing M.S. in Marketing Analytics

Ever since touching a ball at 6 years old, I’ve been in love with the game. Wanting to play basketball at a high level, I knew I had to go beyond becoming a skilled player. Thus, I consumed a lot of basketball, more so on the court, but also via film study. This deepened my love for basketball and also allowed me to understand the nuances of the game and the strategy behind it.
In regards to analytics, I love evaluating optimization of team composition, examining individual player skillsets, analyzing trends in game strategy, and breaking down offensive sets. My basketball knowledge combined with my technical skillset in statistics, R, Excel and Tableau allow me to analyze trends and provide profound basketball insights. My favorite players are Kyrie Irving and Darius Garland, but I grew up modeling my game after Kyrie, Russell Westbrook, Rajon Rondo, and CP3.

B.S. In Information Science, Pursuing M.S. in Data Science/Analytics

Basketball has been a significant part of my life since I was 8. From watching, playing in real life and video games, the game and its details have always been of interest to me. I also had a passion for statistics from a young age, so when I discovered the world of basketball analytics, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to combine my interests.

My favorite players include Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. I love to analyze all the different options out of the Spain pick and roll. I think the most interesting aspect on the analytical side is team makeup/composition. I identify with this because of my confidence in my GM skills, whether being on NBA 2k or pickup basketball.
